Transfer to Zell am See / Kaprun

Mountains, lake and glacier

A glittering lake framed by mountains with a snow-white glacier, green alpine meadows and rugged rock faces. The uniqueness of the Zell am See/Kaprun region lies in its variety. Nowhere in Austria does nature have more to offer.

The holiday region “Zell am See-Kaprun” was already known in the past as the “European Sports Region”. The health resort of Zell lies directly on the lake, which is one of the purest in Europe. From its lakeside promenade, the picturesque Schmittenhöhe is not far away. Lush alpine pastures and meadows await you here in summer. In winter, the Schmittenhöhe is a popular ski area.

The Kitzsteinhorn glacier can also be reached quickly from here. The plateau of the only glacier in the Salzburg region lies at 3,029 metres above sea level. Since there is always snow here, you can ski in Zell am See-Kaprun even in summer. You will find this luxury only very rarely in Austria.

From the summit of the Kitzsteinhorn you can look out over Austria’s beautiful mountain world. You will be fascinated by the more than 30 Alpine giants in the “Gipfelwelt 3000” (Summit World 3000). The highest mountain among them is also the highest mountain in all of Austria – the Großglockner.

Back in the valley you can use the wellness offering to relax. Discover the new Kaprun thermal spa “Tauern Spa” and recharge your batteries.
